We can't really believe it. It's been over 10 years since we were first blessed by the "scripted reality" that is The Hills. To honor the anniversary, Lauren Conrad sat down with a few members of the show's team and her family for MTV's The Hills: Then and Now. The special, which aired last night, takes a look back at some of the most iconic moments (even as it skips a good handful of them) and offers us a peek into what L.C.'s life is like now.
I watched the special with two Refinery29 editors and fellow Hills superfans Michael Brown and Arianna Davis. We've all seen every episode (some more than once), and can't deny our love for Adam DiVello's masterpiece. Armed with pizza and our laptops in the privacy of our office, we sat down to watch and chat about what was bound to be a dramatic hour of television.
The conversation that follows shows what we learned, what we missed, and what we really wish they'd shown us. The locations, the people, and the drama are real. (Okay, so that's Laguna Beach. But I'm in a Lauren Conrad state of mind.)
