Ariel Winter has faced more than her fair share of criticism lately. The 18-year-old actress has taken to social media to share body-positive photos of her curves and more grown-up image, and some fans just can't deal.
Winter, however, isn't having it.
"It's called being a woman in the industry," the Modern Family actress told Rogue magazine of the backlash she's received, according to E! News. "It's complete sexism. It's really degrading, annoying, and sad that this is what the media puts out. It's disgusting to me."
Winter added that her years as a child actor have helped her take the criticism in stride.
"At this stage, you get sort of jaded after a certain period of time," she said. "I feel like I've been in the industry for so long that I have gotten to that point where people's comments and the exposure doesn't bother me as much. It still bothers people when you get negative feedback for something, but it doesn't hit me as hard as it would somebody just entering the industry."
Judging by her sexy shoot for Rogue, Winter has no plans to retreat. Deal with it, haters.
