If I could write a letter to my younger self, I’d offer up this key advice: Don’t date that guy for so long, drink more water, and lay off the SPF 4 tanning lotion. For years, I would let myself bake in the sun, my body doused in brown oil. If only I realized then that rocking a sun-kissed glow wouldn't be worth sacrificing my skin health. These days, I stick to a lot of self tanner and even more SPF 30+. And lucky for me and everyone else I know who has a hard time willingly parting from tanning oil, CVS is doing the hard part for you.

The drugstore giant is making a huge statement about sun protection this year with the launch of its Long Live Skin campaign. Starting today, CVS will remove all sun care products with anything less than SPF 15 from its shelves — meaning you can kiss those old school sunscreen oils to the curb. The intention, of course, is to educate and spread awareness about proper skin health, and everything you can do to protect it.
You can find the new campaign splashed across CVS stores, social media sites, and more specifically, the brand’s Facebook, where customers and educators alike can share advice about what skin protection with the hashtag #advicetomyyoungerself. Even better, Johnson and Johnson partnered with CVS to donate $1 for every Aveeno and Neutrogena sunscreen product with an SPF of 15 or higher purchased between June 18 to 24 with the proceeds will go straight to the American Cancer Society.
If that's not enough to reel you in, consider this: Derms say that the best anti-aging product anyone could use is sunscreen. So start taking care of your skin now — after all, there is no time like the present.
