It was only a matter of time. Fresh off the heels of Selena Gomez's new single "Bad Liar" comes rumors of new music — this time, a collaboration with Gomez's boyfriend The Weeknd. ELLE has the receipts — by way of Wikipedia — that are sparking talk of the hottest Met Gala couple's alleged new musical offering.
The 13 Reasons Why producer has not released a new album since 2015's Revival, but 2017 is a brand-new year for the star. After taking a break from the spotlight to focus on getting healthy — she was diagnosed with lupus and dealt with mental health issues, prompting her to take some time off — Gomez is back and better than ever, with a new guy by her side and a sultry new song in "Bad Liar." Now Wikipedia is suggesting that Gomez will combine these new, beautiful things in her life.

ELLE reports something very interesting on Gomez's Wikipedia page. According to the online encyclopedia's page for songwriter Max Martin's production discography, The Weeknd is listed on Gomez's upcoming track "In Her Element." Not merely as a songwriter (though that would still be pretty dope) but as someone singing alongside SelGo.
Ring the alarm, people — it's happening.
Well, maybe. Or maybe not. Wikipedia isn't exactly a reliable source (aka the reason you aren't allowed to use it for research papers in college) given that literally anyone can make an edit. Perhaps a SelGo fan added The Weeknd's name to the song due to wishful thinking? Until Gomez or her boyfriend opens up about their musical collaboration, we'll have to take this alleged song union for what it is: just a really fun rumor.
That's not to say that the pair aren't showing their love in other ways. The two are already public on Instagram (thanks to a cute sunglasses selfie) and red carpet official, thanks to the Met Gala. If "In Her Element" isn't their first joint musical venture, it seems inevitable that another song will be. Stay tuned!
