This Tequila Candy Will Upgrade Your Summer

Rosé may be the unofficial beverage of summer, but good ol' tequila isn't going anywhere. What's a sizzling summer day without a margarita, anyway? Thanks to SoCal-based luxury candy store Sugarfina and Casamigos Tequila — the brand that's co-owned by Cindy Crawford's husband, Rande Gerber and George Clooney — the world of sweets and spirits are coming together with a selection of tequila-flavored confections.
Available now, the Sugarfina x Casamigos Tequila Collection is a whole new way to look at something that normally comes in a shot glass. The limited-edition candy selection includes four new treats with clever names and even sweeter flavors: a You Had Me at Tequila chocolate bar topped with smoked salt, the Shake Your Margarita gummy candies, Paloma Por Favor sour gummies with a sweet and salty crystal coating, and the Give It a Shot chocolate cordial.

"We're so excited to partner with our Malibu neighbor, Casamigos Tequila, to create Sugarfina's first tequila-infused candies," Sugarfina cofounders Rosie O'Neill and Josh Resnick said in a statement. "Not only is their tequila delicious, it also pairs perfectly with some of our favorite flavors like lime, grapefruit, chocolate, and smoked sea salt. Needless to say, the recipe development was a lot of fun."
Shoppers can snag each candy in a $8.50 cube or get a set of three candies in Sugarfina's signature bento box for $28. It's enough to make you forget all about the niche candy store's rose gummies from last year, which sold out over and over again.
Clooney and Co. seem to be on a collaboration kick this summer. Earlier, the tequila brand announced a special collab with Umami Burger, which included a limited-edition margarita and a special charity tie-in. Then the brand teamed with L.A.'s Sprinkles Cupcakes for a special-edition margarita cupcake flavor. Candy, cupcakes, and tequila — happy hour never looked this good.
