It's a well-worn path for Bachelor and Bachelorette alums: Top-billed stars like Nick Viall, Jake Pavelka, and the OG Bachelorette, Trista Sutter (the shows are all on ABC, after all) parlay their top billing into a near-guaranteed second life on Dancing with the Stars. But for other contestants, it's more about hoping that they made a big enough splash to wrangle an invitation to the hardwood, like Bachelor Nation sweetheart Melissa Rycroft.
So it makes sense that one of the standouts from the recent Bachelor In Paradise scandal has his name in the running for a turn in the ballroom.

According to Entertainment Tonight, DeMario Jackson is in talks to join the cast of DWTS and extend his 15 minutes a little bit longer. ET notes that a source privy to the situation says that Jackson is already in talks to be on the upcoming season of the dance competition show, though another one refutes that, saying simply that he is "highly interested" in snagging a coveted spot on the series.
ET adds that Jackson isn't coming back to Bachelor In Paradise's second round of production (though he will be on this season's Men Tell All special), so he is missing out on that opportunity to bask in the spotlight a bit longer. The sweet siren song of fame via the tango, foxtrot, and cha cha cha may be enough to sate Jackson's thirst for attention. Being a Bachelorette veteran already gives him a foot in the door with ABC, after all, and Bachelor Nation loves seeing its biggest stars in anything and everything they do, whether it's an official spin-off like Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? or DWTS. Not only is it an example of brand synergy, it's got a built-in legion of loyal voters. Though in this case, Jackson may not have the appeal of, say, controversy-free Rycroft.
If he does manage to get onto the DWTS roster, Jackson could be joining the ranks of Sean Spicer, another possible cast member making headlines lately. While ABC hasn't announced the full cast yet, these rumors are making for a whole different kind of entertainment.
