It's not uncommon for a season of The Bachelor or Bachelorette to end with an engagement, but it is uncommon for that relationship to make it all the way down the aisle to culminate in an actual IRL wedding. But, proving once again that she's not your run-of-the-mill Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay says that she's very much ready to get married and even offered up a timeline for her impending ceremony.
People reports that Lindsay told Access Hollywood — in an interview conducted by fellow Bachelor Nation member Ashley Iaconetti — that she's planning on getting to know her new beau before picking out a dress, venue, and flowers, but that she hopes to get married before the end of 2018.

"I definitely want to do it sooner than later," Lindsay told Access Hollywood. "But we're going to get to know each other at the same time. It's not happening this year. Maybe next year."
Lucky for Lindsay, her new fiancé, who she didn't reveal just yet, is along for the ride. Lindsay added that he's happy with the one-year timeline and is ready for marriage, too. In fact, she says he's a hopeless romantic who's happy to go along with her decisions. Of course, Iaconetti asked about the possibility of a televised wedding, which Lindsay said she wasn't sure about.
"Honestly, I'm not thinking about the wedding because I'm like, 'Are we gonna make it?' which I honestly think we will," Lindsay said. "I just want us to get to know each other better."
If Lindsay and her soon-to-be-announced fiancé do make it to the "I Do" stage of the relationship, they'll be in rarified company: Bachelor Nation is still waiting on a slew of couples to tie the knot, including Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth, JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers, and Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi. However, it looks like spin-off couples seem to have better luck. Bachelor in Paradise alums have gotten married — on the show, even — with Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert along with Evan Bass and Carly Waddell among just a few of the happy couples to come out of the beaches of Mexico.
