The Brutal Avengers Edition Of Mean Tweets Will Keep These Superheroes Humble

Even the world's most formidable team of superheroes has to face mean tweets. The Avengers — who are currently on the world's most insidious press tour; you literally cannot escape them — performed the popular "Mean Tweets" segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, reading aloud the cruelest of dispatches from their fans. The tweets range from petty to downright cruel, although the kindest tweet by far went to Chadwick Boseman, the Black Panther himself.
"How did the coolest, blackest dude in the galaxy end up with some whitebread-ass name like Chadwick?" Boseman reads aloud, chuckling to himself.
The funniest tweet award goes to the writer of Benedict Cumberbatch's portion. The writer suggests Cumberbatch looks like he's always in the middle of an allergic reaction to seafood.

The Avengers have been on a Kimmel kick lately, appearing on the late night show in batches. (The cast is just too fucking big to appear on one talk show together.) Last Thursday brought Elizabeth Olsen, Don Cheadle, Winston Duke, and Benedict Cumberbatch to Kimmel, where they played "Avengers self-portraits." This is something the other cast members did as well. Kimmel auctioned off the portraits for charity, one of the many good things to emerge from the Avengers: Infinity War press tour.
Another thing to emerge from the press tour? Aside from, of course, this discussion on the varying levels of attractiveness of the men in the series. The author of Scarlett Johansson's mean tweet came forward proudly to claim their work.
"KENDKSKKSKS IS THAT MY TWEET," the writer announced on Twitter. We must celebrate all victories, not just victory over Thanos.
