Lauren Conrad might be best known as the lovable Laguna Beach-native who made MTV's "reality show" The Hills a smash hit. But, for anyone growing up with a dream to work in fashion during the early 2000s, her TV persona will always come second to the career she built post-production as the hard-working intern who took an opportunity at Teen Vogue and turned it into a decade-long career in the fashion industry. Since leaving the show that first made her famous, Conrad's gone on to write a whopping nine books, start a non-profit fair trade market, launch a podcast, and design multiple fashion and lifestyle collections. But, out of all the LC-backed fashion ventures through the years, the one that'll always win out is her long-standing collaboration with Kohl's.

It all started in 2009, when then-23 year-old Conrad — with no expectations in mind — started talking to the Kohl's team about an apparel collection that would run in just a few stores, she tells Refinery29. Now, ten years and countless collections later, LC Lauren Conrad is one of the national retailer's longest-running and best-selling designer lines — an even bigger feat when you're going up against collaborations with CFDA winners, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Vera Wang (casual).
"No one goes into a partnership like this one expecting it to go on for this long. I feel incredibly lucky," she says. "I can't even believe it's already been ten years." To celebrate their tinniversary, Conrad designed a 25-piece collection of holiday-ready apparel that was "inspired by everything this brand stands for.
From the color stories and the embellishments to the special silhouettes, it's really just a concentrated collection of our aesthetic." From the collection, you can expect an elevated feel, with faux feather fabrics, sequin embellishments and silk-y pieces that can easily switch from holiday party to everyday classics with a few minor tweaks once the season comes to a close.
And, as for the pieces that will be lining her own California closet? "I’m really excited about some of the knits we’re coming out with. There are these chunky, oversized knits that I definitely stole from the shoot. But my favorite piece is probably the faux feather jacket that we did. You could wear it over jeans and a T-shirt to go out for dinner or you can elevate it with a slip dress — either way, it’s very chic."

The collection, which will be available in stores and online on November 7th, also includes shoes, accessories, jewelry and home goods, all of which ring in at less than $100 and most of which are sized up to 3x.
