Lightweight, durable, affordable, and not-half-bad looking, the L.L. Bean duck boot has recently spent some time in the retail limelight thanks to the East Coast, preppy princess, Huntin'-In-Me-Wellies look that's seen a recent resurgence. The century-old brand (they're celebrating their 100th birthday this year!) have tripled their sales of the boot, churning out newer versions in bright blue and pink as well as the classic brown-leather version you've probably seen your dad wearing while shoveling the driveway.
Though the boots have been compared to Uggs and Crocs because of their practicality and the clunky look, this is one shoe style that we're pretty keen on here at Refinery29. What say you? Will this shoe be the one you'll be ordering to battle the snowdrifts, or is this one shoe best left to pops? (Daily Mail)
