Just when we thought we couldn’t cope with any more Mark Zuckerberg-related tidbits, this came along and stirred up our morning in a major way. Sure, we wouldn’t call the Facebook founder and CEO a Silicon Valley style icon. In fact, we’re pretty shocked he even swapped out his trademark zip-up for a suit on his wedding day. But, apparently, one S.F.-based brand begs to differ, and is actually turning to Zuck and his casual-fashion chops for inspiration.
The peeps over at Betabrand are attempting to capitalize on the tech mogul’s threads (and, no doubt, recent headlines) and have designed a luxe hoodie of sorts. Dubbed the “executive hoodie” this pin-striped iteration ups the ante by boasting fine fabrics and two front pockets for an extra-fancy effect.
Perfect for peeps who want to take business casual to the next level? Well, for $148 it’s not exactly for the penny pincher. But, wait, what about all the female techies also after the suit-loungewear hybrid? Um, they can take comfort in the fact that there’s a women's version coming soon. Phew. Or ewww? How do you feel about this Facebook-inspired fashion item? Inquiring minds would like to know. (CNET)
