Amped-Up Summer Basics: Check Out Uniqlo X Velvet, Take Two

uniqlo-velvet-2
Japanese mega-retailer Uniqlo has the uncanny ability to produce hit collaboration after hit collaboration, and their most recent one with Los Angeles-based brand Velvet is no exception. Uniqlo has collaborated with Velvet in the past, but this summer’s collection looks like more of a celebratory nod to the retailer’s westward expansion (Uniqlo stores in Los Angeles and San Francisco are both in the works), featuring the ultimate batch of carefree and easy pieces, ready for mixing.
The collab hit stores yesterday, presenting shoppers with “unpretentious luxury with a sexy design aesthetic,” according to Uniqlo, in bright colors and airy summer silhouettes, perfect for those days when the mercury won’t stop rising. We’ve already got our eyes on swingy bubblegum-pink pocket tanks, luxe black peasant blouses, and striped sleeveless dresses – perfect for weekend lounging/brunching/bumming to the max.
With tank tops starting at $12.90 and dresses priced at $29.90, these go-with-anything basics seem like no-brainers to us (and that's helpful, since our minds basically turn to mush once the weather heats up beyond a certain point). So, relax, take it easy, and shop the collab now at Uniqlo stores and online.
