With bands like Young Magic, Young Hunting, Young Smoke, and more, 2012's youngest band name trend is getting a little old. Still, Australia's Young Dreams more than justify its moniker with maximal indie anthems that capture the wide-eyed, anything-can-happen adventure of youth.
Its new video for "Fog Of War" follows young suburbanites as they deal with naive love and unexpected tragedy. It's the sort of thing we've seen before — both in our own lives and with nostalgia-saturated indie bands — but Young Dreams does it better than most. "Off the beaten track is where I am," goes the refrain, and it's certainly a detour worth taking. Check out the video for "Fog Of War" below, and as a bonus download, the remix from Baio (a.k.a. Vampire Weekend's Chris Baio) from Soundcloud.
