Another Fashion Fragrance: Marni Enters The Perfume Fray

marni
High-fashion fans, rejoice: Marni has gone into the scent-making industry. The Italian brand has tapped Esteé Lauder to create a perfume that mimics the label's sartorial leanings, even trotting out a stylish bottle, emblazoned with polka dots and a sharp, red cap. Marni's creative director, Consuelo Castiglioni, described the scent as being "for a woman who dresses for herself, who doesn’t follow trends but is sophisticated and also maybe a little eccentric.”
The scent, simply titled Marni, will be available in February and is a more mature, woodsy scent with floral and fruity notes, and features an intense rose oil infusion for a bit of depth. But best of all, the $50 purse spray features an adorable little "Huggy" doll, dressed in a matching spotted skirt. So, if you can't afford to wear some of Marni's classic prints, it will soon be possible to smell like you can. (WWD)
