Coco Rocha is sort of like the Meryl Streep of modeling — she can do pretty and frightening, high fashion and commercial, runway and editorial, soft-focus portraiture shots at Rimmel, and dancing-through-the-streets high-energy shots at Longchamp. The girl's got skills, and we wouldn't be surprised if the modeling challenges on Top Model were all based off Coco's portfolio. In the latest Cavalli video, she's proved that she's also mastered one of the hardest things for a model to do: dance on film.
Dancing for a photo and dancing for a video are two completely different things, and if you've ever witnessed a "behind-the-scenes" video of a dance-themed fashion editorial and all you saw were jerky, arm-flailing, six-drinks-into-the-night, voguing-meets-swatting-flies "dance" moves, you know what we're talking about. But, Coco deftly shimmies her way through the Cavalli film, while lip-synching to "I Wanna," a song written just for her. And, Grazia reports that the voice on the track is Coco's own (and if so, more props to her), but we're just entranced at how not stupid she looks in the mirrored hallway. See the video, below.
