To know her is to love her, to love her is to envy her — Kate Hudson's effortless yet sophisticated style never goes unnoticed. And this week, she killed it, bringing two very different vibes to two different galas. The first was for the Breast Cancer Research Fund annual Hot Pink Party where the Ann Taylor brand ambassador played an integral role, honoring company head Kay Krill... oh, and looked sleek and polished in a long-sleeved black gown all the while.
We caught up with Kate for an exclusive chat about the nights events and found out that giving back is part of her very core, "I grew up with a mother who taught me 'for every dollar you make you give 10 percent back', and that's always a focus for Ann Inc." Indeed, the extra-special night (that boasted an epic performance by Elton John) was more than just a fashionable fete. Kate explains, "A lot of people in this room have put the money where their mouth is and it's proven to be amazing, what they've done, [tonight is] sort of a way to bring more awareness, that there's still a fight going on."

And while we were a bit shaky talking to Ms. Hudson the cool-under-pressure star explains, "Nerves and anxiety happen when they least expect them — sometimes you can get on stage in front of 5,000 people and you could be fine and then someone can ask you to sing a chorus of a song in front of a few people and you'll be anxious but for me as an artist that's part of the fuel."
We wonder if it's fuel for her killer looks, too, as just one night later, Kate is spotted in an extremely different frock at the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball at Rockefeller Center. Click through to see Kate go from fierce to femme, and tell us which ensemble you love most!
