That opening image is the answer to the question: "What would ombré makeup look like if Tom Ford did it?" The answer is sex on a stick, obviously. The designer (who apparently spent his summer moonlighting as a life coach/muse to the likes of Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z), just unveiled his fall color collection and, as always, it's pretty phenomenal.
This season the designer, like many of his peers, decided to make the eyes the focus, and the fall line-up is based around two limited-edition ombré eye trios that feature "monochromatic shades that use light and depth to create a dynamic contrast." Each trio features a light, medium, and dark shade that all have their own unique texture to help further that idea of subtle contrast. There's In The Pink, which showcases neutral pink hues for an updated nude eye look; and She Wolf, a sexy, smoldering array of grays with a hint of metallic sheen. To further accentuate that grown-up ombré eye, there are also an Eye Primer Duo, a new shade of carbon-black mascara, and a dual-sided liquid liner and eye definer.

And, what does one pair a sexy ombré eye with? Why, a gorgeous, saturated lip hue, of course. You have your choice of nude or bold lip hues, as the brand is highlighting two of its already existing lipsticks —Sable Smoke and Crimson Noir — and bringing back two shades that launched with the original Private Blend Lip Color Collection back in 2010 — Vanilla Suede and Bruised Plum. Rounding out the collection are two brand-new shades of Nail Lacquer in Show Me The Pink and Black Sugar. Now, if we could just get a guide to recreating that amazing eye look from the ads, then we'd be all set for fall.
