Photographed by Nina Westervelt.For all the talk of what a grind Fashion Week can be, the truth is, we never tire of the moment when the lights dim, the crowd quiets (sort of), the music starts, and the first look marches out onto the runway. Yesterday's Creatures of the Wind show was especially arresting, with Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters' oversized, hefty jackets and luxurious, diaphanous skirts set perfectly against the Pavilion at Lincoln Center's slate-gray walls. Chances are we won't be feeling that subdued and calm until the Fashion Week adrenaline and Champagne buzz wear off. But, at least we'll always have the pic to remember it.
