Photo Of The Day: A Friend To Lean On

embed 2Photographed by Mark Iantosca.
This New York Fashion Week may go down in history as the one with the most street-style shots of editors, starlets, and Lincoln Center peacocks in sneakers, flats, and Bean boots. In other words, anything but heels. And yet, despite the foot-or-so of snow that's been blanketing New York about once a week like clockwork these past months, there are those hardy souls who brave heels, despite cobblestones and curb-high slush. All you need is an unwavering desire for extra height — and maybe a similarly shod, fashionable friend to lean on. If you can remember to watch for the puddle lagoons plaguing our street corners while also smizing for Mr. Newton, Phil Oh, and all the other DSLR-wielders outside the shows, you'll know you're a true pro.
