And, it appears the trend will slide right into fall, after Karen Walker debuted statement clutches at her most recent runway show. Inspired by the suffragettes of the women's right-to-vote movement, the bags are emblazoned with bold, subversive statements like “Liberal Miserable and Cynical” and “Faster Better and Stronger.”

While we normally have to wait until at least August to get our hands on covetable autumn merch, the NYC-based designer clearly heard our shopping prayers, as she stocked her site with the creations about five months early.
