It doesn't matter how many precautions we take: When we most desperately need a hair tie, we can't seem to find one of the million we purchase every week. We stash them in every purse, leave a pile of them in our desk drawers, and try to convince everyone we know that black elastic "bracelets" are trending.
To save us from wearing our hair down when it really isn't working for us, we learned a terribly cool way to secure a braid without a hair tie. Cue the choir harmony. Click play to get the ingenious trick — it doesn't involve much more than a wrist flick and a few shots of Pantene hairspray. Now, you can stop telling your friends that elastic-laden wrists are en vogue.
