Get It Girl! Adele Says Whatevs To Karl Lagerfeld’s Harsh Comments

Karl Lagerfeld may create sweet and soft runway frocks, but the Kaiser isn't exactly the most delicate with his words. The 78-year-old haute hellion has said that the Royal Family are "totally unnecessary, but pleasant," called Russian men "ugly," and said that Greeks and Italians have "disgusting habits." His latest fire-breathing word-slurs has been towards Adele, whom he announced is "a little too fat, but has a beautiful face and a divine voice." Oh. No. He. Didn't.
Well, when you're going to need a (Louis Vuitton) trunk to carry home all of your trophies from this Sunday's Grammy Awards, obvi, you don't give a flying you-know-what about looking like a French model. Adele has shot back at Karl's Kriticism: "I've never wanted to look like models on the covers of magazines. I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that. It’s just never been an issue – at least, I’ve never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue. I have insecurities of course, but I don’t hang out with anyone who points them out to me."

This hullabaloo has even caused an onslaught of Adele-fan fashion insiders like Kelly Cutrone to boycott the brand. We're both livid at Karl's comments (duh) and proud of the 21 singer for her dignified, thoughtful response. But what do you think? We're personally quite pleased that this soul sister has shoved a (well-heeled) foot in Karl's mouth and can't wait to see her shut it down on Sunday's red carpet!
