E-Commerce Site AHAlife Finds The World’s Most Unique Treasures

ahalifekristian
When we heard about "taste-maker"-curated e-commerce site AHAlife, we wondered if it would be like so many others — featuring picks from models, actresses, and socialites. While those sites are fun to peruse, it gets a little repetitive when you hear from apparent "influencers" and wonder just how much a stylist was involved. Founded by an MIT engineer, AHAlife is a breath of fresh air! Its influential curators include business execs, artists, editors, and the inimitable Iris Apfel. Also on this impressive roster is our own senior editor Kristian Laliberte, who chose singularly lovely items to represent his aesthetic. Regardless of the curator, there are many real standout items — a meditation Xbox game by Deepak Chopra, gorgeous oil lamps made from actual grenades, and even sexy toys from JimmyJane — on the high-end lifestyle website.

What sets AHAlife apart is the in-depth research of each curator and the products on sale to the public. Beautiful objects aside, the personal questionnaires alone keep us hooked. A perfect blend of humor and intimacy lets the shopper identify which curators’ products would be in line with his or her taste.
Bottom line: What you buy is selected by real people with really covetable careers and impeccable taste. For example, we’d be remiss to ignore the restaurant recommendations of Soa Davies, a chef at Le Bernardin. And yes, she did throw some amazing chocolate into her selected collection — sweet. Add a bookmark to AHAlife and start e-shopping a little smarter.
