Take A Peek: Alyssa Nicole’s California Girls-Inspired Spring Line

Perhaps one of the reasons why we can't totally hate on Katy Perry's "California Gurls" hit is because regardless of how was feel about the actual music, we know she sort of has a point. The ladies here are somewhat incredible, even if the Northern Cali version stays far, far away from those Daisy Dukes she so often references.
Youngster Bay Area designer Alyssa Casares of Alyssa Nicole obviously concurs, having based her entire spring '12 collection on gals residing on the Left Coast.
"It was inspired by vintage-style California girls with the Hollywood scarves and big sunglasses," she says. "It's sexier than any collection I've done before, with lots of mini dresses with cut-outs and plunging necklines and a couple of '70s-inspired maxi dresses."
The easy, breezy, pastel-hued collection is now up for grabs over at the Alyssa Nicole site, and prices start well under $100. Shopping super-local doesn't get any easier than that.
