Behind every great supermodel is a makeup artist ready to get to work. Therefore, it seemed only natural that Burberry Beauty artistic advisor, Wendy Rowe, should partner up with Anja Rubik for a London Fashion Week party at The Loft at The Ivy Club in celebration of the beauty guru’s website, WendyRowe.com.
“I’ve known Wendy for many, many years, and she’s a great friend of mine,” Rubik told Refinery29 as she mingled with guests like Olivia Palermo, Pixie Lott, Gizzi Erskine, Amber Atherton, Portia Freeman, Harley Viera-Newton, and Goldierocks. “I love her, I love her makeup. We’ve worked together, we’ve gotten drunk together…”

Stealing the show in a blue metallic spring ’13 Burberry Prorsum trench, the Eddie Borgo campaign star also opened up about her work with
25 Magazine, saying that observing the fashion industry as a model helped her get a better grasp on the creative and editorial aspects of the business.
Rubik’s husband, model Sasha Knezevic, has scaled back his involvement in running the magazine with her, but he’s “still a huge inspiration in many ways."
“I ask for his opinion constantly. It’s great, but we fight a lot because of a difference of opinion. I have to say, unfortunately, he is right many times.”
Despite squaring off creatively, it sounds like Rubik has found her Prince Charming. Though she was sick in bed on Valentine’s Day, Knezevic treated her to a “lovely dinner” and brought her breakfast and lunch. The clincher?
“The first thing he said was, ‘Will you be my valentine?’” the loved-up model shared.
Rubik’s friend, Arizona Muse, was having her own love affair when we caught up with her, gushing about her recent move to London.
“I love it,” said the Santa Fe native, clad in a design from her pals at Trager Delaney. “It’s my favourite city in the world.”
Asked about any surprises she’d encountered since setting up residence in the Big Smoke, the supermodel offered only this: “It really is just better than anyplace else.”
Well, we don’t like to brag….
