Anna Cantor, Jewelry Designer/Hostess at the Wythe Hotel’s Ides Bar
Anna Cantor has the keys to the kingdom (or a view of it, at least) as hostess for the Wythe Hotel’s rooftop bar, The Ides. By night, she seals the fate of eager guests, deciding who gains entry and when (adding consequence to her judgments with a statement lip, of course). By day, she indulges her passion of jewelry making, creating wearable art that gives the venue’s female patrons (yes, we mean us) one more reason to envy her.

Hands down, best professional advice you ever got:
“Always remember that it doesn't matter what job you have as long as what you're really focusing on is the work that you want do (in my case, jewelry design). I try not to get too caught up in the nightlife aspect of my job, or else I can't get anything done during the day, which is, of course, the point of working at night!”

Technology of choice OR your Working Girl Essentials?
“My Working Girl Essential is a bright lipstick—red or pink—I don’t feel ready for work without it.”
What moments on the job do you find most rewarding?
“I like to let people skip the line!” (You didn’t hear it from us.)
