Get ready to jump out of your seats and squee, guys. One of our (and we're assuming your) fave French labels is quite possibly headed to our hilly hood. That’s right, A.P.C. is in talks to open its first S.F. locale. We know — exciting on so many levels. First Mulberry, Uniqlo, whispers of a rag & bone, and now this? Our city is truly getting more fashionable by the millisecond. We’re already having muted-tone and stripe-filled fantasies of what the store will look like — and not to mention nightmares of what it will do to our bank accounts.
According to WWD, the brand is looking to expand its U.S. presence, and in addition to its flurry of New York stores and one in L.A., is looking for real estate in S.F. and Venice, CA. Fingers crossed it happens sooner rather than later, as we are pretty hooked on the simple yet statement-making duds. And even despite A.P.C owner Jean Touitou’s disdain for social media — telling WWD, “I think it’s fake. I think it’s going to die soon.” — we think the brand is a perfect fit for our tech-savvy city. What do you make of the exciting news? Don’t worry our eyes will be glued to this tantalizing tidbit. (WWD)
