This summer, the one thing I absolutely, positively cannot live without is... "Jogging around Oakland's Lake Merritt at sunset with my headphones on. Few things make me happier than sweating out the day while I watch the sky change colors. And the sunset isn't the only show in town. Down on the ground, I've seen people practicing fire twirling, acroyoga, tightrope walking, and juggling. It's like running through a circus camp."
Next up on my Netflix is... "Netflix needs to catch up with my terrible TV addiction. Until then, we're taking a break. Right now, I'm in love with Inside Amy Schumer on Hulu. I feel like Amy is inside me. I'm also learning so much about America's past thanks to Drunk History."
Latest guilty pleasure... "Obsessively checking Instagram for new street art photos."
The one song I can listen to over and over...and over to is... "Ack. There are so many. I've been starting my day with the sun-bleached sounds of 'High School Lover' by Cayucas a lot lately, but I think that might be a seasonal addiction. Come October, I'll be in the mood for a new Mark Kozelek album."
The latest trick I've picked up from the other R29 editors is... "Pickle juice as a post-workout recovery drink. I haven't gone on a jog with a jar of leftover pickle juice yet, but I'm intrigued."
My must-have cheap thrill... "Some time on a swing. Playground swing sets will do, but secret tree swings are even better, and rope swings over water are the tops β feels like flying."
