I'm also completely into The Illustrated Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, illustrations by Dame Darcy (Viking Studio/Penguin Group), a classic novel that we've all read in high school but with gothic punk illustrations…I can't think of a better combination. Karen Walker is one of my favorite designers in the comtemporary category. Last season she made neon windbeakers with a matching bonnet…talk about following her own vision. For fall she showed a collection fit for a female superhero with electric-blue sunglasses, layered lightning bolts, and more cool headgear. I'd like to be a superhero come fall…"
