Azealia Banks Thinks Rapping is “Easy” & “Unladylike”

It's been quite the year for the Harlem, fashion-relevant, rapper Azealia Banks, and that's only a sampling of her endeavors in the year to come. The rising star discussed the early 2013 release of her much-anticipated debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, with online music magazine HYPETRAK.
With hair trailing down her back and dewy, fresh makeup, Banks reflects on her year gone by and her prospects for the next. "I am very excited by anything that looks like the future, or anything that looks like it's not happening now." If the It Girl of the year has her way, she claims, she will produce not one, but two albums in '13. But if you are hoping for more "212", you are probably not going to get it. "(Rapping) is easy, but I think it's kind of tacky. I think it is unladylike. I like it...but I think I'm going to get tired of it."
Die-hard fans need not worry about Banks losing her edge, however. The songstress claims to remain loyal to music, but is just interested in doing some, "sound research." The young musician clearly knows her own power, claiming that fashion and style is one thing that works for her (she really likes MAC, and she really likes Alexander Wang), but branding is a whole other. "It's important to remember what you are here for." Preach.
