Say what?! Our fingers are crossed that someone is just playing a (cruel) joke on us, because we don't know what we'd do without the Barneys Co-op in Chelsea and its unparalleled warehouse sales.
The New York Post
shared recently that "Barneys New York may be leaving downtown for the second time — the original Barneys at West 17th Street and Seventh Avenue closed in 1997. Management at the 18th Street Chelsea Co-op has been told that it may close late next month."
Thankfully, Barneys PR presently denies that "any move is afoot," so the decision doesn't appear to be finalized quite yet. We're hopeful that whoever started the rumor will be saying "Just kidding!" very soon. (Racked)
