b.fit DC
This Logan Circle studio promises a hearty mix of strength training, Pilates, and ballet barre work that creates long, lean muscles. We give this studio extra props for a sense of humor — all b.fit instructors are called “barre-tenders.”
b.fit DC, 1339 14th Street NW, Suite 3; 202-332-0377.
Lava Barre
At Arlington’s only barre studio, choose from six different classes (cardio, core, stretch, pre/post-natal, "lavalicious," and "lavalates") that will give you a toned and lengthened figure that’s as hot as — here it comes — lava. As an added bonus, you can train your eyes on local artworks (the studio rotates works by local artists each month) even when your muscles are shaking from all that hard work.
Lava Barre, 3260 Wilson Blvd, 2nd Floor, Arlington; 571-483-0468.
Pure Barre
Each Pure Barre sweat session will have you performing small isometric movements that deliver a coveted blend of toned thighs, abs, and arms, with opportunities to lift your derriere and burn fat, too.
Pure Barre, 2130 P Street NW; 202-870-1799. Opens on Friday, April 19.
Xtend Barre DC
Founded by a dancer and choreographer who has performed with the likes of Aaron Carter and Enrique Iglesias, Xtend Barre combines Pilates and dance to deliver a total-body workout. The result? A strengthened and lengthened bod and a happier you.
Xtend Barre DC, 1228 Blagden Alley NW; 202-289-2020.
