Make This Easy, Divine Baguette Sandwich For Bastille Day

bastille
When it comes to ham and cheese sandwiches, none do it better than the French, hands down. They know their way around the simple baguette hero like no one else. It could be our noon meal every day and you'd never hear a complaint.
Just in time to celebrate Bastille this Monday, chef Michael Toscano of Montmartre in New York City shared with us his authentic — yet inventive — take on the classic. The arugula, Camembert cheese, and mustard take it to the next level. Make one or two or three and hit the park this weekend to celebrate France's big day. Want to up your liberté game even more? 2. Evenly coat the inside with the butter and season with salt and pepper. Spread the fig jam and mustard over the butter on both sides.
3. Layer the ham, Camembert, and arugula on the bottom half of the baguette.
