When I think of Bath & Body Works, days of rummaging through their "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" deals during my teenage years come to mind. Sweet Pea and Cucumber Melon followed me throughout middle school, and I pretty much hoarded their bath gels and body lotions. But, fast-forward to today and it's not necessarily the first store I pop into when I'm at the mall. In fact, it doesn't really cross my mind at all — aside from the occasional bouts of nostalgia when I catch a whiff of a familiar scent on the subway.
So, when I came across a story on The Huffington Post praising Bath & Body Works' Wild Madagascar Vanilla fragrance, I was skeptical, to say the least. Its products tend to have a distinct, almost overwhelmingly fruity aroma. But, according to writer Dana Oliver, this particular one is more "sweet-yet-sexy" than sweet and youthful. It has notes of vanilla, which are enhanced with hints of African pear, wild jasmine, and white sandalwood — it actually kind of sounds like the perfect mix of ingredients for a sophisticated fall fragrance. Dare I say, it looks like Bath & Body Works has grown up. Head over to The Huffington Post to get the full review, and let us know in the comments: Will you be adding Wild Madagascar Vanilla into your fall-perfume rotation? (The Huffington Post)
