Pretty Freakin’ Awesome: Sneaker Heels That Aren’t Heels At All

We can express our love for the sneaker heel until we're blue in the face, and Marc Jacobs can chime in, too, but we're sure some of you might still think that the shoe sounds more like an oxymoron than an actual trend.

Well, here's the response to all of your raised-rubber-sole aversions. Be&D has introduced a high-top that plays tricks on the eyes with a hot pink silhouette of a sexy stiletto along its side. Unlike other stacked-heel lace-ups, these kicks are actually real sneakers; meaning your feet will be planted safely on the ground at all times.

Sure, some might argue that Be&D is running along the same lines as faux evening wear, à la tuxedo T-shirts (um, ew), but we like to think of these babies as the clever, quirky, and, yes, cute alternative to this season's oh-so controversial trend. Plus, we're making an official prediction of a few Be&D-faux-sneaker-heel sightings at next fall's Fashion Week.
