CRIMSON
Ouch! Careful with your hands. Red, whether scarlet, ruby, or magenta, is hot stuff and is always combustible. Judiciously used, this volatile tone can make memories when harnessed in Zanotti heels or (naturally) an Isabel Marant dress.
MAGENTA
Mysterious and fiery, these two colors are natural complements. When stirred together, they make magic. Witness: Alexis Bittar’s dark magenta lucite earrings are good examples of color alchemy, and, of course, Balenciaga’s satin jacket is anything but subdued.
PLUM
Think of it — this is the season for purple. Set against the long nights, the color —ranging from demure violets to bold, fearless plum hues — matches the night perfectly while offering more drama than classic noirs, particularly when it comes in the form of a velvet pump by Steve Madden, leather bag, or sheer Prabal Gurung skirt.
