kimem
Kimem For quilts that are both art pieces and give historical context, look no further. Kim Eichler-Messmer runs Kimem (a mash-up of her names, get it?) where, using the ancient Japanese dyeing technique of Shibori, the quilts come out looking more like beautiful watercolors of the sky, rather than ordinary fabrics. All of the quilts' colors move in gradients created from Kim’s own handmade dye recipes and can be customized upon request.
Price range: $20 - $1500
