Pie In The Sky: Where To Find That Little Slice of Heaven In L.A.

There’s absolutely nothing humble about our love for a sweet slice of pie! Whether it’s apple, pecan, rhubarb (love that word), cherry, pumpkin (only in November), key lime… pie is the comfort food to dig into with two forks, a friend, and your shoes kicked under the table. So, we put in the hours (‘twas a torturous task! Not.) and kissed the calories hello at three of our favorite L.A. pie post-ups for a new old fashioned take on the timeless dessert. We heart pies, too! Helmed by husband and wife team, Emily and Nicholas Cofrancesco, the Toluca Lake based company offers pick up at the NoHo Farmer’s Market or local delivery of your choice from their small, medium, and large sweet & savory pies. Go big large or go home!

The Pie ‘n Burger Truck:
This pie will come to you! The beloved South Pasadena diner jumped on the food truck bandwagon last fall serving up pies at just $3 bucks a pop. Pies on wheels? Yes, please!

The Pie Hole:
Wondering if they live up to their name? Four words: Mac and Cheese Pie. This Art District tart house is the late night (or early morning) detour your gin and tonic ridden tastes buds will thank you for later. Nursing a sweet tooth? Try the Maple Custard Pie. Heaven.
