100 pranksters, 99 cents, and a “reporter” from NBC. No, this isn’t some strange version of "The 12 Days Of Christmas." This is a very real, very kind Black Friday prank from the always comical troupe Improv Everywhere.
Early Friday morning, 100 people descended on a small 99-cent store in Manhattan. Equipped with tents, sleeping bags, and even an iPad to pass the time, these jolly jokesters set up camp to make it look like they had been waiting for amazing deals all night long.
As soon as the clock struck 9:00 a.m., the pranksters ran into the store, scooping up wrapping paper, towels, and light bulbs on the cheap. The very grateful store owner's eyes popped, and he thanked everyone for their business.
