Though more states than ever before now have marriage equality, certain regions of the U.S. still exhibit mixed emotions towards LGBTQ individuals. Broken Heart Land, a new documentary by Jeremy and Randy Stulberg, explores that very problem as it exists in Oklahoma. The filmmakers follow the story of a teenage boy (from a conservative military family) who committed suicide shortly after coming out.
