Bruce Springsteen Covers Lorde’s “Royals”

Bruce Springsteen paid tribute to Auckland's local talent at his show last night. In a crackly, acoustic rendition in true Boss style, Springsteen covered Lorde's hit "Royals." And, for these four minutes and seven seconds, teenagers and their parents could finally bond over musical interests. It was an unexpected — yet delightful — convergence of pop generations. Of course, the crowd adored it.

Bruce may be The Boss, and his cover does rock, but he's also not the first to play a new version of "Royals."
