grysonbootCome fall the scramble for the ultimate boot begins and even those of us with a well-stocked arsenal get caught in the frenzy. This season, Gryson, the fledgling label started one year ago by Joy Gryson (a former accessories designer at Marc Jacobs, Coach, and Calvin Klein), marks the changing of the leaves with a new line of city smart shoes featuring a tall-order boot that will render even the most replete collection finally complete.
Simply named the "Buckle Boot," this stacked, knee-high pull-on, captures what Gryson describes as the "feeling of downtown NYC at night: romance with an urban backdrop." Made from supple veg-tanned and washed calfskin, the design boasts the label's signature hardware and rubber lug soles, which meet Gryson's criteria for "form with function, giving us ladies height (which we all want), but without the pain." Available in four autumnal shades, the boots add a subtle touch of urban attitude to any outfit and additionally earn their keep with a timelessness that's sure to stand tall for seasons to come.
The Buckle Boot, $895, is available at Louis Boston, 234 Berkley Street, Boston; 617-262-6100.
A new boot that rises to any occasion.
