If you've had an itch for an apéritif since Monday, your instincts were on the money. It happens to be national Negroni week right now, basically giving you full license to try every gin and Campari cocktail served in your zip code. Then again, you could save money and make something for yourself.
Bartender Pamela Wiznitzer from The Dead Rabbit (a favorite R29 haunt) gave us the pointers to make a colorful Negroni float in celebration of the queen of liqueurs. The beauty of this rendition? It calls for three ingredients — a level of simplicity we like in our at-home beverages. Nothing's more discouraging than a recipe that assumes we're all working with a fully loaded bar, multiple mixers, garnishes and all.
