In this exclusive sneak-peek at the shooting of Candela's fall '11 collection, designer Gabriela Perezutti speaks volumes about the durability of fashion when she says clothes are best when they can still be worn 10 years from now and look as though they could have been worn 10 years ago. Perezutti certainly achieved this in her latest Candela collection: Although the clothes are heavily inspired by '70s fashion with a palette of rich blues, plums and camels as well a retro silhouettes, the clean lines and construction of classic pants, blouses, and skirts give the clothes a timeless elegance. The subtle sexiness in the styling with exposed bras and keyhole cutouts also help give the collection a modern edge—so even though you'll look classic, you won't look like your grandmama. We're definitely ready to give our wardrobes a little '70s edge this year and Candela's updated classics are a perfect place to start. Check out their video (we got the first look!) below to see the making of the Tom Hines lookbook—our very own office-mate Roanne Adams has a starring role!
