From the makers of that infamous editorial of models eating food, salacious superstars Terry Richardson and Carine Roitfeld are once again teaming up. After getting ousted from the editor-in-chief position at Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld certainly hasn't been resting on her laurels. Though she's now officially at Barneys, styling the department store's catalogues, her new gig doesn't seem to prevent the French fashion icon from taking on other projects. And, of course, her favorite partner-in-crime, Mr. Richardson, was more than happy to oblige—together they sprinkled some of their fairy-dust on venerable Manhattan jewelry brand David Webb; Under the creative direction of Alex Weiderin, Carine styled the fall '11 ad campaign while Richardson served as shutterbug. Webb, whose signature pieces take an average of three months to produce and start at $4000 in retail, has been seeking to transform itself from its somewhat stodgy reputation of late, so we think this Richardson/Roitfeld alliance will be the perfect tonic to bring the handcrafted pieces back in the jet-set's collective eye. We can only hope that if the rumors are true about Carine's alleged new magazine, Terry will be a part of the process, and, duh, David Webb will have some big, fat, juicy ads.
