Carine Roitfeld’s New Magazine, CR, Will Launch This September

We knew Carine wasn't going to become a full-time collaborator. After lending her hand to Barneys,
V Magazine
, and more, Carine Roitfeld finally revealed to WWD her long-brewing plans to launch her very own fashion rag. The magazine's name is Carine's editorial signature, "CR," that appeared on the editor's letters page in French Vogue for the past 10 years. Carine's anti-advertisement reputation didn't seem to carry over: Out of 288 pages in the official CR Fashion Book, more than 100 of those will feature advertisements. Inside, Carine scrapped the front-of-book section, and will only publish longer-format articles and editorials; Instead, all that FOB art, fashion, and culture goodness will be published online. The magazine will retail for $9.95 and will be distributed in the U.S., Europe, and Asia this September. Oh, and the new offices? At the Standard East, right across the street from yours truly.
