There’s a time and a place for a show-stopping ensemble, but for every day, there’s something so alluring about a pared-down look. For those with a soft spot for a low-key vibe, a trusty pair of live-in jeans is the foundation for endless effortless outfits. And while comfort is key, casual is by no means synonymous with “meh” — the looks below prove that less really can be so much more.
Tuck, Tuck, Loose
Lack of structure can be a good thing (despite what your parents told you), and off-duty looks call for caring less about a carefully tucked-in top. Instead, let the hem of a boxier tee fly free over cropped denim and high-tops, or half-tuck the front of a tank to break up a relaxed silhouette.

Cuff & Roll
When it comes to more leisurely looks, we’re shameless lobbyists for a looser leg. Cuffing your favorite slouchy jeans imperfectly just below the calf makes for a laid-back — and flattering — moment. If you're on the petite side, roll 'em lower on the ankle to add length.

Tee Up
There’s a reason the whole jeans-and-T-shirt thing is iconic — because it works. Master the look by going for a soft, basic crewneck in a neutral solid or classic stripes. Go for a fit that hits the sweet spot between slim and baggy and pair with a leaner-leg jean.
