UWS Fire Uncovers The Story Of A Sweet Couple With A 46-Year Age Difference

The Brentmore, a 12-story apartment building perched at 88 Central Park West, reportedly caught fire Friday afternoon, but the minimal blaze towering inferno isn't the only thing that sparked our curiosity. It's the residents! In a classic New York turn of events, the everyday, run-of-the-mill condo fire included some seriously famous faces, including one Robert De Niro. The Heat star is the building's most recognizable tenant, but we're guessing that when the Oscar-winning actor couldn't be reached for comment, attention drifted to another distinguished occupant who was available on-scene.
Indeed, reporters caught up with 95-year-old actress, Celeste Holm, a silver screen siren from the days of yore (as well as also being a recipient of the Academy's highest honor). Fortunately, the leading lady was out with her husband Frank Basile when the incident occurred, but that doesn't mean things didn't get tabloid-level fiery: turns out Basile clocks in at a mere 49. And, aww — his relative youth doesn't affect his very sincere devotion for his main squeeze, who is nearly 50 years his senior. It just goes to show...you never know what's behind any given building in NYC.

What do you think? Is 50 too big an age difference between a bride and groom? Or is love, love?
