When Colby Milano's not in class at the Fashion Institute of Technology, she's holding it down as a part-time design assistant for a denim company and moonlighting as the founder and blogger behind Moeh Fashion. Needless to say, the 21-year-old Long Island native wears many hats. And, that's exactly why our friends at LOFT tasked Milano to create three totally different outfits around just one pair of trousers.
Milano's a self-professed style experimenter, so it should come as no surprise that the three looks she drummed up are way fashionable. Though, she did have some help, thanks to the pants' new and improved design. From bum-enhancing back pockets to tummy-flattening waistbands, let's just say these trousers aren't your grandma's.

Making It Werk
This is such a polished and modern outfit for work. Give us the lowdown!
"The first look was put together to create a modern-yet-trendy version of a conservative working woman. A trench coat is a great staple for fall, and its contrast against the light-blue blouse is perfect for a day look. I decided to accessorize to show creative ways to make an outfit pop. The pants played the most important role, which was grounding the outfit to remain work-appropriate."

Color In All The Right Places
Living in one pair of pants all day can be pretty tough, especially when you juggle three jobs that might require outfit changes — just look at the nighttime outfit right here. How do you stay stylish 24/7?
"I'm a big fan of pants, especially for fall. A pantsuit has always been my go-to for a work outfit, but what I find most difficult with this look is finding pants that stay looking fresh for the whole day. It's always nice when you put on a pair, and they look clean and constructed, but we all know this only lasts a couple of hours before the creases start to form. LOFT has done a great job creating pants that look the part and remain that way throughout the day!"

No Sweatpants Allowed
Office trousers have a stuffy, corporate rap. How did you freshen up these pants for the weekend?
"Taking the pants into a more casual setting by pairing them with a leopard sweater and a moto jacket. This allows the pants to be a statement even on a casual weekend day."
Why did you go for the boot-cut trousers, as opposed to, say, a skinny or straight leg?
"The boot shape is something that not many people think could be worn in multiple ways. It's easy to pick a straight leg and concentrate on the top, but a boot-cut can also act as a versatile piece. For proof, I styled the boot-cut with three different statement jackets, colorful blouses — both tucked and untucked — and the perfect heels."
