New NYC Real Estate Aburdity, Crown Heights = “Pro Cro”?

Neighborhoods. If you ask a New York realtor, there's one born every other day. Take "Pro Cro", a new 'hood supposedly gobbling up bits of Crown Heights and bringing all that is wonderful about Prospect Heights—organic food, Bugaboos, rich white people—to those blocks. Bless the brave video producers of Gothamist (one of whom is R29 family) for heading into one of New York City's most culturally rich and proud areas and telling the long-time inhabitants that, thanks to real estate agents, they no longer live in Crown Heights. What a weight that must be off of their shoulders to have decades of history just swept away like Starbuck's old logo. Funny how these residents seem less than appreciative. (Gothamist)
